Nate Gemelke is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at QuEra Computing, based in Greater Boston. With a passion for quantum computing, information, and many-body physics, he has been leading the technical development of cutting-edge quantum computing machines at QuEra since June 2019. Prior to QuEra, Nate served as a Research Associate at Harvard University, focusing on quantum information processing with neutral atoms, and as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Penn State University, where he worked on laser cooling of atoms and many-body physics. He also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Chicago, collaborating on many-body physics and quantum information with ultracold atoms. Nate holds a PhD in Physics from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, Engineering, and Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
