Mohan Kumar is a program director in the Computer and Network Systems (CNS) division of the Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Directorate at the US National Science Foundation (NSF). He is the program director for more than 30 Industry University Collaborator Research Centers (IUCRC) that come under CISE and spread across more than 100 Universities. While at the NSF, Dr. Kumar is a Professor on leave from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he served as the Chair of the Department of Computer Science for 8 years. Mohan’s research interests are in Pervasive and Mobile Computing, Parallel and Distributed Computing, and Opportunistic and IoT systems.
