Carmelo has focused his career on building products and system solutions that have large impact in the marketplace. He launched several edge processors platforms for low-power applications, including the first MCUs with DSP capabilities, the core of today’s portable devices intelligence. At SEMI Carmelo helped grow the subscription revenue by creating new programs, products and services. While at NXP, Carmelo led business development efforts for the LPC MCU portfolio and launched a new always-on sensor processor MCU platform for the IoT market. Earlier in his career at Renesas, he led a team to launch the RX100/RX200 portfolios and helped create initial business at OEMs and channel partners. At STMicroelectronics in Italy, the UK and San Jose, he was an application engineer and FAE developing applications for the consumer market. Carmelo holds a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical from the University of Pisa and an MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
