Environmental, Social, and Governance Policies

Why ESG?

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is about striving to find balance between economic results, social interests, and the environment. This is extremely important to us as team, our attendees, as well as to our industry.

The AI Summit & IoT World want to use our platform to help our guests achieve their own ESG goals - connecting people with the networks and knowledge they need to make change.

Bringing everyone together in Austin provides opportunities to not only work with our venue and suppliers to improve the impact of our event, but to weave ESG into the fabric of our content and features.

Austin leads US cities focusing on sustainability; The AI Summit & IoT World Austin is partnering with the City of Austin and working closely with our venue to decrease the environmental impact.

Here’s some of what you’ll see:

no3

Signage will be upgraded to digital signage wherever possible and printed recyclable materials when needed.

no4

We encourage local visitors to travel sustainably with both MetroRail and MetroBus stations located right next to the venue, and we offer Carbon Offsetting during registration.

no5

We’ll clean with Green Seal-certified products.

no6

We have eliminated printed surveys and plastic badge holders.

How does IoT & AI feed into ESG?

The intersections of technology and sustainability are key focus areas for businesses around the world, billed as Forbes’ biggest business trends for 2022-2025, and according to WEF around 84% of AI & IoT deployments are addressing or have the potential to address UN sustainability Goals.

ESG is no longer a nice to have, but a need. Investors, employees, and customers are requiring companies to improve their practices and be transparent and accountable about their business decisions including DEI, CSR & green practices. The IoT & AI industries sit at an integral point as these technologies possess the power to help deliver ESG if the people behind the tech are integrating ESG into their businesses. We all have the power to make the world a better place!
