When and where is the Applied Intelligence Live! Austin 2023?

The AI Summit & IoT World returns as Applied Intelligence Live! Austin

It will be held from September 20 - 21, 2023 at Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704.

  • Wednesday, September 20, 2023 (8.30am - 6.00pm)
  • Thursday, September 21, 2023 (8.30am - 5.00pm)

Wait, didn’t this used to be IoT World Conference & Expo / The AI Summit?

Yes! Applied Intelligence Live! Austin is the coming together of IoT World Conference & Expo, The AI Summit, and the Quantum Computing Summit.

With a combined 15-year history, the coming together of these events provides an invaluable opportunity for you to create connections with meetups, hosted events, and numerous opportunities to meet your fellow tech experts.

But we did need a new name to bring these three together so now we're Applied Intelligence Live!

The ‘applied intelligence’ concept brings together four key disciplines and technologies: data science, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), quantum computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

TRAVEL & LOGISTICS

Is there parking available?

Yes, Palmer Events Center has an adjacent 4-story, 1,200-space parking garage with accessible and alternative transportation parking options.

  • Palmer Events Center Garage (900 Barton Springs Road): A 4-story, 1,200-space garage is located next to the facility, with entrances on Barton Springs Road and Riverside Drive - The Riverside Drive entrance is often an easier and underutilized route.

  • Alternative fuel vehicle parking: Austin Energy has nine charging stations to power up your electric vehicles, as well as bike-share docking stations, in the Palmer Events Center parking garage.

  • Clearance Heights: 1st level: 8’2”, 2nd level and up: 7’2’

  • Payment Methods: All debit, credit cards, and cash.

  • If needed, overflow parking is located at the One Texas Center Parking Garage at the southeast corner of Barton Springs Road and South 1st Street.

How should I commute by public transport?

You can catch the CapMetro 30 Barton Creek Square bus route before getting off at the Palmer Events Center and Long Center stop. You can also secure a bicycle at musical note and bat-shaped bicycle racks.

What do the ticket types mean?

Delegate

The standard pass includes access to the headliners and all our conference stages, but misses out on the roundtable invitations, connected intelligence networking party, masterclasses, and insider sessions.

VIP​ – Recommended for the complete experience!

The full All Access pass promises the complete experience including all conference content, roundtable invitations, networking parties, masterclasses, and insider sessions.

Academic​

A drastically reduced rate for academics, there are only 100 available exclusively for those who register with an academic email address.

Start-Up

The Start-Up ticket allows you to get a Standard Pass at a subsidized rate. If you meet two of these three criteria you can secure a pass for just $499:

  • have fewer than 20 employees
  • less than $5 million invested
  • have been operating not more than three years (2019).

Expo

The free expo pass will allow you to reconnect with the tech community and meet the organizations leading the way in digital transformation with access to the exhibition and the Headliners Stage, the Quantum Computing Summit, and networking drinks on Day One. 

Charity

If you can provide your EIN number and the registered charity name, we will organize for you to receive a free All Access Pass. Please note this must be a registered charity, we are unable to extend this to not-for-profits or NGOs.

What networking / parties are running?

We’re in the process of planning our experiences at the moment, but they’ll definitely include networking opportunities like...

  • Austin After Hours – a chance to connect with industry leaders and key players. We’ll be throwing in some surprise activities to add to the experiential element of the event!
  • Applied Intelligence Live! Austin Party - You're invited to wrap up the conference with an evening full of food, fun, and drinks! Taking place just an eight-minute walk along the Colorado River at Butler Pitch & Putt!

SUSTAINABILITY

What is Applied Intelligence Live! Austin doing to minimize its environmental impact?

Applied Intelligence Live! Austin is powered by 100% renewable electricity and we have removed aisle carpet from our expo to reduce waste. We’re also utilise digital signage to minimize one-off printing, and encourage the exhibitors sponsors to think about sustainability in their own procurement decisions. 

Our venue, Palmer Event Center, focuses on various sustainability initiatives, including recycling, reusing, and composting 50% of all waste that would be going to landfill. Palmer Events Center is also are a carbon neutral venue, by purchasing carbon offsets each year. The catering vendors at the venue are all local to Austin and leftover food after the event will be donated within the local community.

Don’t forget - you’re able to recycle your badge post-event, so please look out for bins when you are finished with yours!

How can I contribute to ensuring a sustainable event?

As an attendee, please consider consolidating your total business travel and making the most of your time at the event. You can save yourself travelling to meet individual companies by arranging to meet them all at Applied Intelligence Live! Austin. This will help reduce your costs and carbon footprint. (Keep an eye out for your custom referral codes to help facilitate this).

At the event please bring a refillable bottle to save plastic, recycle your waste, avoid food waste and only accept the giveaways or brochures you need and will use

Looking after your wellbeing at Applied Intelligence Live! Austin

Applied Intelligence Live! Austin has a Code of Conduct to hold ourselves, our attendees, vendors and contractors accountable to deliver the best event experience

We also have onsite amenities such as a nursing room, morning yoga, healthy meal options and plenty of hydration breaks.

It can be tough being on your feet all day, so wear comfortable shoes and take regular breaks.

I haven’t received my badge yet, who can I contact?

If you’ve got your confirmation – you’re all set for now. You will get access to the event app in August so you can start building your agenda and then a week before the event we’ll send you a QR code that will give you access to the live event. If this does not happen, please reach out to our registration team here.

What are the health and safety measures for Applied Intelligence Live! Austin?

Our parent company, Informa, runs 450 branded business-to-business events a year and has put in place a comprehensive range of enhanced standards that make the health and safety of everyone who attends Applied Intelligence Live! Austin is a priority.

In the past year, we have safely and successfully run three face-to-face editions of our sister events - IoT World, The AI Summit, and the Quantum Computing Summit - with enhanced measures in London, Austin, and New York.

Code of Conduct

We believe our community should be truly open for everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.

This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior, for both the in-person event and within the event app. We invite all sponsors, speakers, attendees, media, exhibitors, and other participants to help us realise a safe and positive conference experience for everyone. All determinations of appropriate or inappropriate behavior are in Informa’s sole discretion and the decision(s) of the Informa Tech representatives will be final.

Behaviour
You will behave in a way as to create a safe and supportive environment for Applied Intelligence Live! Austin event participants whether participating online or in person (including Applied Intelligence Live! Austin employees, moderators, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers).

You will not engage in disruptive speech or behavior or otherwise interfere with any portion of the in-person or virtual event, or other individuals’ participation in the event.

You will not engage in any form of harassing, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening speech or behavior, including (but not limited to) relating to race, gender, gender, identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual, orientation, military or veteran status, or other protected category.

You will comply with the instructions of the moderator and any Applied Intelligence Live! Austin event staff.

You will comply with all applicable laws.

Scope
We expect all in-person and online event participants (including Informa Tech employees, moderators, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers) to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers the in-person event, virtual event, and all related events (social or otherwise).

Consequences
Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in future Informa Tech events and from engagement across Applied Intelligence Live! Austin blogs, online forums, and social media channels.
